Your Questions, Answered

“Find answers about fees, insurance, and getting started with trauma-informed therapy in San Francisco, including EMDR, IFS, and somatic approaches.”

  • We offer trauma-informed psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and children/teens. Our clinicians integrate evidence-based and body-centered approaches, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic therapy. We provide both in-person sessions in San Francisco and telehealth for clients located in California.

  • Getting started is simple. Begin by reaching out through our contact form to request a consultation and share a few details about what you’re looking for (individual, couples, or child/teen therapy; in-person in San Francisco or telehealth in California). Our team will follow up to schedule a brief consultation and help match you with a therapist who fits your needs, availability, and preferences. After that, you’ll complete a few intake forms and we’ll schedule your first session.

  • We’re a collective who provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive, LGBTQ+ affirming care. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, we thoughtfully match you with a therapist whose style and expertise fit your needs. Our team integrates specialized modalities—including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic approaches—to support deep, lasting healing, and we collaborate as a group to offer more perspective and support than a solo practice.

  • You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email. We aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day.

  • Our fees vary by clinician. Elizabeth Miller’s rate is $275 per individual session and $330 per couples session. Associate clinicians offer a lower rate of $200 per individual session and $220 per couples session. If you have questions about fit, availability, or which option is best for you, we’re happy to help—reach out to request a consultation.

In compliance with Title 45, section 149.610 Code of Federal Regulations, I will provide a "Good Faith Estimate" of anticipated therapy costs to private pay clients at the start of treatment.

  • Item At this time, we don’t accept insurance directly. However, we can provide a superbill (itemized receipt) monthly or upon request so you can seek reimbursement from your insurance company as an out-of-network provider.

Please note: reimbursement is not guaranteed, and it is the client’s responsibility to confirm out-of-network benefits, eligibility, and reimbursement rates with their insurance plan.

  • Working with us is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your goals. We start by getting to know what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping for, and what has (and hasn’t) helped in the past. Together, we’ll create a plan that fits your pace—whether that includes EMDR, IFS, somatic approaches, talk therapy, or a blend. You can expect a therapy relationship that is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and LGBTQ+ affirming, with steady support, clear communication, and space for both insight and practical change.

  • We offer in-person therapy in San Francisco, with offices at 2024 Divisadero Street Suite1. We have two office spaces at this location, and your exact office will be determined by your clinician. We also provide telehealth sessions for clients throughout California.
