My Clients

I work with adults and adolescence longing to deepen their understanding of their past, present or future selves. The pathways to therapy are many, and there are no prerequisites that dictate which experiences qualify for the emotional tending that therapy can offer. Whether you have a specific challenge you seek to navigate, or a more nebulous desire for a change you don’t yet have the language to name, you are welcome here.

My Approach

My work is grounded in care, compassion, and an appreciation for the nuance and context of my clients’ lived experiences. I aim for a holistic integrative approach, adapting my process to the needs of each individual person. I primarily pull from modalities including Liberation and Feminist Psychology, Internal Family Systems, Psychodynamic Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Somatics. As a clinician, I hope to create a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for my clients. I approach therapy as a collaboration between client and therapist. What this looks like in practice is communicating openly about what feels like it’s working, what doesn’t, and what kinds of goals feel mutually important and sustainable. I welcome feedback and work to create an environment in which my clients feel comfortable being open and honest with me. I bring a tone of understanding, warmth, and curiosity to every session.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a strong believer that the personal is political. When applied within the context of mental healthcare, this belief means that as providers we must understand that individual mental health always exists within the context of larger socio-political factors. As the challenges facing our world and communities become increasingly complex, interconnected, and existential, it is no wonder that stress, overwhelm, and feelings of isolation are on the rise. Therapy is one way to cope with these feelings and think about strategies for reconnecting with ourselves, our sense of purpose, and the communities we are a part of.

In order to create safe and just environments as therapists, I believe we need to acknowledge that no two clients’ journeys to mental and relational health can be the same, even if an equal level of care is provided. It is important to consider what physical, social, economic, historical and cultural factors might play into our clients’ experiences with the mental healthcare system and the ways in which folks are able to access care. For this reason, I approach therapy as a collaboration in which my client is always the expert in their own lived experience. A therapeutic environment must earn its title as a safe space. If there’s something my colleagues or I can do to make the therapeutic process feel more accessible to you, let’s talk about it and try to come up with solutions to meet your needs. If we aren’t able to provide what you need at our clinic, we will help connect you with resources in the community that likely will.

Therapy can be a powerful tool in learning to cope with painful past experiences, navigating difficult periods of change or loss, finding purpose, cultivating peace, and enriching one’s lived experience. To be trusted with the vulnerability of another person is a true honor and responsibility I do not take lightly. I feel such gratitude to my clients for allowing me to do this work and coming in every session exactly as they are.

My Rates

I offer private-pay therapy at $170 per individual session and $190 per couples session. I know that therapy is a real investment, and I want it to feel accessible to you. Sliding scale availability is something we can talk about during our consultation — don't hesitate to ask.

While I don't accept insurance directly, I'm happy to provide a superbill after each session. A superbill is a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I'd encourage you to check with your provider about your out-of-network benefits before your first session.
